“Freddy, our guide, was brilliant. We went in to the middle of the sand dunes and did a spot of dune surfing, Freddy telling us all about the history of the area. We then stopped at a lovely village that looked like a small mid western town and Freddy took us to a bar with some locals, which was great. Also of course informing us of the history of the island and all the Cape Verdian islands. We then went to the Caves which were stunning and finally saw sunset on the huge (14km) completely deserted Santa Monica beach. I honestly can’t recommend this excursion highly enough. A MUST do…”
